''The Umbrella Academy'' is an American superhero television series based on the comic series of the same name written by Gerard Way, illustrated by Gabriel Bá, and published by Dark Horse Comics. As of April 2019, Netflix reported that 45 million households had viewed season one during its first month of release, making it one of the series most viewed of the year. Seasons two and three then released on July 31, 2020 and June 22, 2022, respectively. In August 2022, the series was renewed for a fourth and final season, scheduled for release on August 8, 2024.
