LEGO Ninjago, originally known as LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, is an American-Danish animated series that spawned the popular LEGO Ninjago toy line. Its debut dates back to 2011, the result of the collaboration between the American Wil Film studios and the Danish headquarters of LEGO. The series has conquered the international audience and in Italy it was broadcast on various platforms, including Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon and Boing. The main setting of the story is the fictional kingdom of Ninjago, a place that draws inspiration from East Asia, both in appearance and in culture. The ninja's base of operations is a flying ship, whose shape and design undergo changes over the course of the series, following the evolution of events and challenges faced by the protagonists. The first four ninjas introduced are Kai, Cole, Jay and Zane, joined by Nya, Kai's sister. However, the character who plays a central role in the series is Lloyd Garmadon, who, although he makes his first appearance in the first season, takes on increasing importance over the course of the plot. The series concluded its run with the season entitled ''Crystallized '' in October 2022, but the adventure continues in 2023 with ''LEGO Ninjago: Rise of Dragons'', a sequel that departs from the original series but keeps alive the atmosphere and energy that made Ninjago so loved by the public.
