Grisù the little dragon is an iconic Italian cartoon series, whose first broadcast dates back to 1975, although created by the brothers Nino and Toni Pagot already in 1964. The protagonist is a young dragon named Grisù, son of Fumè Draconis, belonging to the lineage of the Draconis, famous for being blaze dragons. Despite his ancestry, Grisù has an unusual dream for a dragon: he wants to become a firefighter. His story takes place in the picturesque Scotland, in the Dragon Valley, where he lives with his father Fumè, a local celebrity thanks to his nature as a blaze dragon which attracts many tourists. However, Grisù aspires to follow a different destiny, dreaming of the red fire engines. Despite the advice of Sir Cedric McDragon and his wife Lady Rowena, Grisù engages in a myriad of professions, such as secret agent, director, jockey, and many others, but his passion remains to become a firefighter. During his visits in Sir Cedric, Grisù often meets Torvo, a Scottish thrush who, despite his attempts to avoid the little dragon, always ends up being hit by its flames. Furthermore, Grisù frequently visits his relatives, including his grandfather Zampirone Draconis, his uncles Fumicerio, Piromantio and Falò Draconis, and his aunt Favilla Draconis, as well as the famous Loch Nessie. In the final phase of the series, Grisù is sent by Sir Cedric to humanitarian missions in underdeveloped countries such as Cavernizia, Gommuria, Rupe Foschia and others, carrying out his task with dedication.
